Frequently asked questions

Can you install a ceiling fan where there's only a light fitting?+
Usually, yes. We check the wiring, the switch setup and what's above the ceiling, then run whatever the fan needs. Not every fitting or ceiling arrangement suits every fan, so we'll tell you straight what will work in your room. Quotes are free and there's no call out fee.
Are LED downlights worth the swap?+
For most homes, yes. LEDs use far less power than older halogen downlights, run cooler and last longer, so the running costs drop from day one. If you want the bigger picture, we also do home energy audits and can point out where else the house is wasting power.
Do you supply the lights and fans, or do I?+
Either works. We can supply quality fittings and fans, or install ones you've already bought, as long as they're compliant. If you buy your own, check with us first and we'll tell you if it suits your ceiling and wiring before you spend the money. The quote is free either way.
Do you do outdoor and garden lighting?+
Yes. Landscape and garden lighting is part of what we do, from lighting an alfresco area to paths and garden beds. Outdoor work needs the right fittings and proper weatherproof wiring, which is where a licensed electrician earns their keep. We cover the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, Tweed Heads to Coomera.
