How does your pricing work?+
All quotes are free, and pricing is upfront and transparent before work begins. You approve the price first, then we start, so there are no surprises on the invoice. If you call or contact us this week, you can also save $149 + GST with our current offer. Just mention it when you book.
Is your work covered by a warranty?+
Yes. Every job is backed by our 12 month in-house workmanship warranty. On top of that, every project is supervised by EJ Barnes himself and run through his own 4 stage checklist, so the work is done properly the first time. If something is not right, call us and we will sort it.
Where do you service, and can you work across the NSW border?+
We service all suburbs from Coomera down to Pottsville, inland to Mount Tamborine and Murwillumbah. Because we hold electrical licences in both Queensland and New South Wales, we can legally work on either side of the border. That makes life simple for customers in Tweed Heads and Northern NSW who need a properly licensed electrician.
Do you handle electrical emergencies?+
Yes, we offer 24/7 emergency call outs across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. If you have lost power, can smell burning near the switchboard, or a safety switch keeps tripping, call (07) 5646 5541 any time of day or night. For urgent jobs that are not full emergencies, we offer same day service.
Do you offer a seniors discount?+
Yes. Seniors and pensioners receive a 10% discount on our work. All you need to do is show your card to the technician on the day. Combined with our $0 call out fee and free quotes, it is our way of keeping electrical work affordable for older customers across the Gold Coast and Tweed.
What is the free property safety inspection?+
Every job booking comes with a free property safety inspection. While we are on site, we look over the electrical safety of your property and flag anything that needs attention, from switchboards to safety switches and smoke alarms. There is no obligation to act on what we find, and it costs you nothing extra.
Do you install and service air conditioning?+
Yes. We are licensed air conditioning installers and handle both split systems and ducted systems, covering supply, install, service and repairs. Because we are electricians and air conditioning installers in one, the whole job stays with one team, from the electrical work behind the unit through to the finished install.
Can you help me meet the smoke alarm rules?+
Yes. We install and service smoke alarm detectors across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. The requirements differ between Queensland and New South Wales, and because we are licensed on both sides of the border we can tell you exactly what applies to your property and bring your alarms up to scratch. Ask about it when you book.
How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?+
Common signs include safety switches or fuses that trip often, flickering lights, and older boards with ceramic fuses that were never built for modern appliances. If your board is running air conditioning, ovens and chargers on decades old gear, it is worth a look. We handle switchboard upgrades and meter boxes, and quotes are always free.
